What’s Coming Up

Time

Learn time on an analog clock.

Time Bingo is a fun way for young children to practice their skills of  telling time. A large number of children (36 maximum) can play at the same time. The parent volunteer shared the time bingo cards to children and then  randomly picks a time card and  announces it to the class. The volunteer  then places the called card on the large sheet.  Children place the smaller green cards on their time bingo cards if they have the called time. The first child to correctly fill the bingo card wins and game ends.

Money

Learn to count money

Money bags (2-4 players)

Using the game called "Money bags" kids will discover how to count and use money successfully.

Aim: To win child has to end with the most money.

How to play:

● Players all get a game marker and then take turns rolling a dice and moving the number on the dice.

●The amount written on the game board space tells the player how much they earned during their turn.  The player then has to spin the wheel to determine what coin they have to get their money in from the bank.

●For example, a child throws 2 on the dice, he/she will move two spaces after starting point landing on 55 cents. They then spin the wheel and it stops on “any coin “, the child will then choose whatever type of money they like (e.g. two 25 cents and one 5 cent).

●This is repeated until the first player reaches the finish. The game ends. Everyone counts their money on their own and the person with the most money wins.

Parent volunteer will help kids count if needed.
